A Day in the Life of an Assistant Restaurant Manager

As a restaurant manager, you will oversee the organization and preparation of the dining room and service areas to ensure timely delivery of food and beverage services. You will take pride in coordinating all front of the house restaurant activities and oversee all aspects of guest reservations and special requests.  You will focus on recruiting and hiring any service or hostess staff. You will take pride in supervising, coordinating and training activities of servers, server assistants and hostesses engaged in guest services.  You can analyze daily/weekly restaurant reservations for accuracy and oversee private party requests.  You will meet with sales representatives as needed in order to see sample products or order necessary serviceware supplies.  Collaborate with other personnel to assist in the planning and development of special events as well as seasonal menu changes.  Finally, you will be able to schedule all front of the house staff according to the daily/weekly restaurant demands and review their personal performance on a regular basis.

Work Schedule

Full Time, Five Day Work Week

Pay Range and Benefits

  • Yearly Base Pay $35,000 to $44,000
  • Monthly Performance Bonuses of up to $1800 per year
  • Paid Vacation and Holidays to include; New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day and Christmas Day
