A Day in the Life of a General Manager


As a general manager you will oversee all aspects of restaurant and culinary operations and will ensure the dining room, kitchen and other service areas are maintained according to our standards. You will also guarantee the timely delivery of food and beverage services to all our guests. You will take pride in coordinating all front and back of the house restaurant activities and oversee all aspects of guest reservations and special requests through your host and management staff. You will focus on recruiting and hiring any support management, chefs or other staff as needed. You will take pride in supervising, coordinating and the training activities of all positions in your location. You can analyze daily/weekly/monthly restaurant sales and maintain costs according to a budget that you will actively update and produce for future periods. You will meet with sales representatives as needed in order to see sample products or order necessary restaurant supplies. Collaborate with other personnel to plan and develop special events, seasonal menu changes, daily and weekly specials and restaurant promotions. You will actively lead and participate in weekly meeting and will make marketing recommendation on a regular basis. Finally, you will be able to schedule all front and back of the house management staff according to the daily/weekly restaurant demands and review their personal performance on a regular basis.

Work Schedule

  • Full Time, Five Day Work Week
  • Pay Range and Benefits
  • Yearly Base Pay $45,000 to $55,000
  • Monthly Performance Bonuses of up to $3600 per year
  • Paid Vacation and Holidays to include; New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor
  • Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day and Christmas Day
